BILL HEMMER (HOST): It's a very interesting observation. If you go back five minutes ago when Mike Pompeo said we're ready. 

CHARLIE HURT (THE WASHINGTON TIMES OPINION EDITOR): “We're rocking and rolling.”

HEMMER: Yeah. That's what he said. And now you know as former CIA director, he's meeting with President Trump almost on a daily basis at the White House, and that's where this relationship starts to grow. And the president says you're my guy for the next job, secretary of state, and now we see how these two men have built this relationship. I think it's a very astute observation, Charlie. 

HURT: And it's turned into what I would predict will be the most important relationship, the most important job of the rest of this first term of President Trump's administration because if he is able to do something in North Korea, and I still think there is a very good chance. I think this move today only serves to sort of strengthen Trump's hand here. This would be historic. This would be truly a game changer not only on the peninsula but around the world. And I think that these guys are to be commended for it. And I think it's so fascinating. We're not getting announcements from the White House, we're getting the letter that the president sent the chairman. This is -- the transparency here and the sort of scalding honesty that is on display here after eight or 15 years or whatever it is strategic indifference or whatever it was that allowed North Korea to get the bomb in the first place. It's a real breath of fresh air.
